Rainbow Sapphires…

Rainbow of sapphire colors

Most people tend to think of blue sapphire when they hear the term “sapphire.” But sapphires aren’t just limited to blue. Did you know sapphires actually grow in a rainbow of colors including green, yellow, pink, orange, blue, purple and more? My personal favorite color is padparadscha orange sapphire. There are also star sapphires and color-change sapphires.

Sapphires are found in a rainbow of colors all over the globe including in Australia, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Thailand and and right here in the US state of Montana.

With so many varieties to choose from, sapphires are a designer’s dream for adding color and pizzazz to their jewelry creations.
