Fine Pakistani Peridot

fine quality Pakistani PeridotPeridot is the birthstone for August and many people are disappointed about their August birthstone because it’s often available as commercial quality, pea-green soup color. But fine quality peridot is absolutely stunning!

A client called me initially looking for lab-grown rubies, but upon talking further, she mentioned she also wanted to buy some fine peridots. Another jeweler told her there are no more fine quality peridots available because they’ve all been gobbled up in the market. I’m grateful I knew just the person to go to about this…This gorgeous suite of Pakistani peridots is among the finest out there…and because they look like apple Jolly Ranchers, I wanted to gobble them up.

I showed my client this amazing 13.86 carats 14.4 mm square cushion cut peridot from Pakistan, eye-clean untreated and she was in love! A few days later she completed her set with a gorgeous matching pair 12.8mm, 18.76 carat total weight, cut from the same rough!
